Shipping & Delivery

Europe-wide delivery, dispatched directly from Australia

Terra Australis Technical operates from France but supplies customers across Europe — including EU member states, Great Britain, Northern Ireland and other European destinations where delivery is available. Most products are manufactured or sourced by our Australian suppliers and sent directly from Australia to the customer's delivery country. We do not import your product into stock in France first.

Our catalogue shows an indicative EU goods-plus-VAT amount for the selected country. It is not a final delivered price. Freight, duty, clearance, and VAT on taxable freight/duty can add to this estimate. We provide a written full delivered quotation before any payment. Your binding quotation identifies the applicable tax treatment and complete known charges before you pay. Read our VAT & Import Charges guide.

How to request a delivered quote

  1. Choose the product and variant, then request a quote.
  2. Send your delivery country and postcode, vehicle/year/engine and any fitment details.
  3. We confirm manufacturing availability, freight cost, customs classification where available, expected dispatch time and VAT/import arrangements.
  4. We provide a written breakdown of the product, freight, any VAT payable to Terra, and any estimated import duty/VAT/clearance payable to the courier. We identify which amounts are estimates and who collects each charge.
  5. We take payment only after you have expressly agreed to the final commercial terms and applicable mandatory tax arrangements.

Who pays import VAT and customs duties?

DAP (Delivered At Place) is our normal option. Terra charges the agreed product and international freight. The recipient is generally importer of record and the courier or customs authority separately collects the actual import VAT, duty and clearance charges, if any. We provide an estimate where feasible. These amounts are not hidden within the freight price or claimed to be prepaid.

Where we expressly offer DDP (Delivered Duty Paid), the written quotation identifies the arrangements under which the appropriate importer/carrier will pay and account for import charges. Any VAT or duty charged by Terra as part of an approved tax-paid arrangement is shown separately.

Which country's VAT rate applies?

VAT depends on the destination customs clearance and applicable legal procedure, which can be different from the first arrival airport/seaport. The rate is not automatically France's 20% and not simply set by the point of arrival. EU destinations generally follow the country of importation/clearance and specific sale treatment. For Great Britain consignments worth £135 or less sold directly to consumers, UK VAT generally must be collected by the seller at the point of sale. We will not accept an affected order unless compliant arrangements are in place. Northern Ireland and non-EU European countries have their own arrangements. See the full explanation.

Manufacturing and transit

Many Canna products are made to order, often with approximately 2–10 weeks of fabrication before shipping; George4x4 and KINGPIN lead times depend on availability and specification. Delivery and manufacture dates are estimated individually in your written quote. Tracking is provided when available.

Accurate customs documents

We arrange truthful descriptions and customs values according to the transaction and the applicable customs rules. We do not declare orders as gifts, substitute a wholesale value for the real customer transaction when that would be incorrect, or assume Australian origin merely because an item is Australian-designed.

Why is the price on each product an estimate?

Because a large fabricated snorkel and a small recovery shackle have vastly different shipping costs, there is no universal freight rate that accurately prices every European destination. For now, we supply and confirm a delivered quotation before taking payment. Any general shipping fee shown elsewhere on the website is not an agreed Australian international freight rate.
